One mission of the Château Ramezay is to preserve the heritage of Montréal.

To do so, it continually enhances its collections through donations of objects from generous patrons. However, in order to be added to the Château's collections, these objects must meet specific criteria. 

• They must be related to the history of Montréal, Quebec or Canada.

• They must correspond to the Château's goals.

• They must correspond to the areas of the Château's collection.

The Château only accepts gifts and does not have a mandate to assess the monetary value of objects.
