The Château Ramezay - Historic Site and Museum of Montréal has decided to initiate a structured sustainable development approach by adopting a policy and a five-year action plan. As an institution serving society, the Château Ramezay Museum recognizes its organization’s responsibility to develop a sustainable development approach.
Following a reflection and evaluation of organizational practices in relation to the three major sustainable development issues (social, economic and environmental), management and its team identified objectives to guide the sustainable development approach. They then targeted actions to be undertaken to achieve these objectives.
These two tools, the policy and the action plan, play a planning and communication role in the institution. They are intended for management, permanent employees, contract workers and volunteers since it is important that everyone appropriates these tools in order to know and understand the Château Ramezay’s commitments to sustainable development.
